Forest School
At The Althorp Partnership of Primary Schools, our Forest School program provides children with exciting, hands-on learning experiences in nature. Through outdoor exploration, team-building activities and creative challenges, pupils develop confidence, resilience and a deep connection to the natural world. Guided by skilled practitioners, children are encouraged to take safe risks, solve problems and nuture their curiosity, fostering lifelong skills and a love for learning. Forest School is where adventure meets education.
The Forest School principles form the basis of what we do - children will enjoy regular sessions across the year in our dedicated woodland area, planning is led by the children's needs and interests and includes opportunities for properly assessed risky play. Leaders are fully trained and continually reviewing and developing their own skills and practices.
We also offer Little Explorers - Forest School sessions for preschool children ages 1 - 4 years.
