Governors
Every school has a governing body where governors act as a ‘critical friend’. The governing body is made up of individuals who are from a variety of backgrounds with different expertise representing the public.
The full governing body meets five times a year, at least once per term. There are also 3 committees with each committee meeting at least once per term and who have specific terms of reference and report to the full governing body.

Resources (The business of the Resources Committee is currently incorporated into the Full Governing Body)
Standards & Safeguarding (The business of the Standards & Safeguarding Committee is currently incorporated into the Full Governing Body)
Headteacher Performance Management
The governing body aims for all pupils to achieve the highest educational standards, receive a balanced curriculum, to set the strategic direction for the school, set the budget for each school and to ensure that the school adheres to its statutory duties.
All governors have equal responsibility and are equally valued. They are the largest volunteer force in the country.
